How to Use Your Dermapen 4
First Install & Set Up Your Dermapen 4
Before commencing use, make sure you set up your new Dermapen 4 by:
Dermapen 4 Treatment Settings
1. Ensure a charged Dermapen 4 battery has been placed into position and the lid re-fastened. Alternatively, the power adaptor may be used.
2. Press and hold the Primary Button until the Dermapen emits an audible tone.
This should take around 3 seconds. The Status LED lights up blue, and the Speed Indication Ring will begin to flash.
3. Once the Dermapen is powered on, the Speed Indication Ring and Depth Indication Digits will be displayed. The Status LED will light blue to indicate the device is ready for normal operation
4. Adjust the Speed Indication Ring and Depth Indicator Digits as required
5. Press the round on / off button once to activate Treatment Mode (a needle cartridge will need to be inserted for this function to work)
6. To turn the device off, press and hold the round on / off button until the Dermapen 4 emits an audible tone then the screen goes blank. It should take around 3 seconds to power off.
Dermapen 4 can be powered off at any time, except during a Bluetooth sync warning or during Test Mode.
If your Dermapen 4 device is inactive for more than 2 minutes, it will turn off automatically.
Status LED & Audible Tones
The Status LED displays 3 different states:
Blue: Normal Operation
Orange: Attention
Red: Contact local authorised Dermapen distributor or support provider
The Dermapen 4 device emits the following audible tones:
Single Tone: Indicates a button press
Double Tone: Indicates speed/depth setting accepted, or there is an alert requiring attention
Triple Tone: Indicates a critical battery alert or motor error
